The "Lacey" I knew didn't MINOR things get in the way of what she wants. Saddle up and get back up on that horse! (easier said then done) I've never known you to give up on what you want!
The venerable Patrick McManus says that all artists have to be tormented...at least you're not painting "Nude with Other Wildlife". Don't worry, someone will be smart enough to see how brilliant your work is soon! The ones who don't see it are just lizard brains anyway.
